Well Beings

Holistic Therapies in Penzance, West Cornwall

Shared Experience

Every treatment is a shared experience.

Even though, as the professional therapist, I facilitate the session and give the treatment, it is the two of us that are present, and as such the energy dynamic of us both that is within the room.

Of course, as per professional etiquette, the therapist-client relationship is created on trust, respect, empathy and confidentiality, and the treatment room is a secure, boundaried and comfortable space. I am there to aid your holistic wellness, and to ensure that your experience is relaxing, nurturing and restorative.

Before getting on the couch for your treatment, every session begins with taking the case, and if you are a return client then we discuss updates. It is important to document your starting point ie why you are coming for treatment, and as we go along with ongoing sessions then how things have hopefully improved, and any new things that need attention. It is important that as your reflexologist I stay within the boundaries of my qualifications and skill set, therefore at times I may suggest a client may benefit from exploring additional therapies also – for example that might look like talking therapies, pilates or yoga, or a physiotherapist – it could be any number of therapy types that could add to the client's wellness.

Working with reflexology is a continuous gift as I see the positive changes it brings to so many people on all levels; whether emotional, mental or physical. And working with my clients is an ongoing rewarding experience; as I meet such lovely people and I am able to work in such a beneficial way.

At the beginning and end of the reflexology sequence we synchronise our breath, breathing in and out, mindfully, three times. These important breaths allow us both to acknowledge that, at the beginning, we are entering the treatment, and at the end we are closing the treatment and that we will re-enter our everyday life. The synchronisation of the breathing also unites us within the working space, within the goal of wellness, and activates the positive intention.

For those of you living in our lovely West Cornwall, whether in Penzance where I am based at the Penzance Natural Health Centre, or if you are living in surrounding areas such as Newlyn, Mousehole, Gulval, Marazion, Hayle, St Ives, St Just - and any other place nearby - then book in a restorative session with me! Come be nurtured, relax on the therapy couch and enjoy a Reflexology, enjoy deep rest in the Earthing & Balancing treatment, achieve detox and reset with a Reflexology Lymph Drainage, or have a luxuriously organic Ayurvedic Facial.

Autumn, winter, spring, summer – may we all be Well Beings 💚

Helpful information

After Your Treatment

You've had your well-being session and hopefully you are feeling super relaxed!

After a reflexology based treatment - whether standard Reflexology, Reflexology Lymph Drainage or within the Earthing & Balancing treatment, because the therapy works on the entire body and emotional system via the foot body map, some people experience a slight but temporary flare up of symptoms or feel very tired - this is due to the toxins leaving your body and is nothing to be alarmed about. However, some people feel immediately energised and light! It's all individual. The most important thing is to honour the process and allow yourself time to rest.

After an Ayurvedic Facial, as this treatment has worked on marma points on your face which correspond to key connective points of the body system and emotions/consciousness, you also need to practise good self care to maximise the benefits of the treatment.

Read After Your Treatment for some recommendations on how you can optimise the benefits of your treatment.

The T&Cs!

Payment

I do not have a card machine; so payment is either in cash on the day or by a BACS payment (bank transfer - bank details given upon request). If by BACS I ask for this at least 48 hrs prior to your session so that I can see the payment in my bank account and confirm.

Cancellation

Please note I am a micro-business and I book the treatment space upon receiving booking requests. I make payment for the hire of the treatment space and if a client is a 'no show' or cancels very close to the session time I still have to pay the room booking fee and I have no time to offer to another client who may have been able to take that spot.

Therefore, please give me at least 48 hrs notice of any cancellation, or if you wish to move the booking to another date/time.

Of course 'life happens' and it may be that you have genuine circumstances which prevent you from attending your session on the day. Otherwise for late cancellations (under 48 hrs notice) I request half the payment to cover my room booking fee and lost time.

Refunds

I do not offer refunds for any treatments that have been provided and completed.

Referring Clients On

As a professional therapist the client's best interest's are always paramount and occasionally I may recommend that instead of receiving any treatment with me, or any continued treatment with me, you seek support with another type of therapy or see a different provider. If I do recommend this then I will always try to supply you with a few links to help you.

Many thanks and I look forward to treating you.
