Here in the western hemisphere we have moved into autumn, and the season brings us all its wild beauty with the russets of falling leaves, the call of crows nesting, the rain and winds, and of course the shorter days.
The mornings are darker now as we wake, our human made technological time devices set to a created time, not aligned to our body clocks and bio-rhythms, nor the cycles of seasons, moons or tides.
For those of us rising before natural light has arrived we will often be switching on electric lights so we can find our clothes, make our lunches for later eating and do our other morning chores.
What a shock to the system! Pulled from our sleep, from our rich cave of dreaming, from our slumber where we were held in darkness or half light, and suddenly we are upright, task orientated, and our sensory circuits are overloaded.
Is it any wonder that we feel fatigue, overwhelm, stress and burnout? And often on the heels of nervous exhaustion is the physical dis-ease of migraines, aches, colds and all other manner of things.
So, my dear readers – this is the time to ensure you have your vitamins, you are eating your nutritious foods, you are taking time in nature, you are getting enough sleep time – and you are awarding yourself self care.
For those of you living in our lovely West Cornwall, whether in Penzance where I am based at the Penzance Natural Health Centre, or if you are living in surrounding areas such as Newlyn, Mousehole, Gulval, Marazion, Hayle, St Ives, St Just - and any other place nearby - then book in a restorative session with me! Come be nurtured, relax on the therapy couch and enjoy a Reflexology, enjoy deep rest in the Earthing & Balancing treatment, achieve detox and reset with a Reflexology Lymph Drainage, or have a luxuriously organic Ayurvedic Facial.
Autumn, winter, spring, summer – may we all be Well Beings 💚
